The mission of the Young Professionals of Florence group is to mobilize the young professionals of Florence to support and enhance leadership, civic responsibility and business growth.

Simply put, we’re here for you. We hope that as this organization continues to grow, that it will be able to provide an increasing array of business and social services to all area young professionals looking for a network to help them reach out to the community.

Membership Fee: $35 per year - Membership Runs January - December 2021

The Emerging Leaders Summer Institute is a program designed to generate professional training and development, mentorship, community engagement and recruitment opportunities.

Due to Covid-19 and social distance protocols, some portions of this program may be offered online.

The purpose is to identify, develop and empower “Emerging Leaders”, specifically minorities, small business owners and innovative professionals poised to move into the next level of community and business leadership.

Program Strategies

Communicate with community leaders and businesses
Professional and personal leadership development and civic engagement
Extensive networking with a diverse group of peers
Discovering your strengths and how to apply them as a leader

Tuesday, June 22^nd - Orientation and Reception
Wednesday, June 23^rd - Retreat
Wednesday July 14^th- Technology, Innovation and Industry
Wednesday July 21^st - Education and Leadership Development
Wednesday August 11^th —Government/Civic Engagement
Graduation - To Be Determined

Cost includes lunch and materials. While many candidates are sponsored by their employer, a limited number of partial scholarships are available.
