The mission of the Young Professionals of Florence group is to mobilize the young professionals of Florence to support and enhance leadership, civic responsibility and business growth.

Simply put, we’re here for you. We hope that as this organization continues to grow, that it will be able to provide an increasing array of business and social services to all area young professionals looking for a network to help them reach out to the community.

2021 - 2022 Leadership Florence 8/1/2021 - 5/31/2022

Leadership Florence is a comprehensive nine-month program designed to identify, cultivate and motivate new leadership for the Greater Florence Area. Participants will increase their knowledge of the Greater Florence area, and enhance their involvement in community activities while further developing their leadership skills.

ATTENDANCE
The program begins with a Meet & Greet in August and ends with graduation in June 2022. Sessions are one full day per month.

You are also required to attend the half day Building Bridges Diversity Session, at least two law enforcement ride-alongs and one City/County Council Meeting. The Leadership Class will complete a class project during the program, in which the proceeds will be donated to chosen charities. Recent projects are Downtown Gala, Find Me Downtown , BBQ for a Cause & Disco Ball.

Participants may not miss more than two days of class to graduate. Attendance at all sessions is expected. The Opening Retreat, Team Building Exercise and State Government are mandatory sessions.

TUITION
$1295 for members and $1695 for non-members. A $325 deposit must accompany this completed application. The tuition balance is due before Friday, August 14, 2021. The Leadership Committee reserves the right to deny the participant eligibility for graduation for failure to attend scheduled sessions or non-payment of full tuition.

The Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 2021 SC Chamber Grassroots Tour Luncheon on Wednesday, September 29 at SiMT (1951 Pisgah Rd, Florence). Doors will open at 11:30am and the program will begin at 12 noon. Bob Morgan, President & CEO of the SC Chamber of Commerce, will be leading the program discussion and legislative review.

Each year, the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce partners with regional chambers of commerce throughout South Carolina to present the Chamber’s Alliance Grassroots Tour along with a legislative update. The interactive luncheon offers the state and local chambers to hear from local business and industries on the issues they are faced with in today’s business environment. The feedback received will help shape the state Chamber’s 2022 Competitiveness Agenda and set the Chamber’s priorities for the next legislative session.
