2021 - 2022 Leadership Florence 8/1/2021 - 5/31/2022

Leadership Florence is a comprehensive nine-month program designed to identify, cultivate and motivate new leadership for the Greater Florence Area. Participants will increase their knowledge of the Greater Florence area, and enhance their involvement in community activities while further developing their leadership skills.

ATTENDANCE
The program begins with a Meet & Greet in August and ends with graduation in June 2022. Sessions are one full day per month.

You are also required to attend the half day Building Bridges Diversity Session, at least two law enforcement ride-alongs and one City/County Council Meeting. The Leadership Class will complete a class project during the program, in which the proceeds will be donated to chosen charities. Recent projects are Downtown Gala, Find Me Downtown , BBQ for a Cause & Disco Ball.

Participants may not miss more than two days of class to graduate. Attendance at all sessions is expected. The Opening Retreat, Team Building Exercise and State Government are mandatory sessions.

TUITION
$1295 for members and $1695 for non-members. A $325 deposit must accompany this completed application. The tuition balance is due before Friday, August 14, 2021. The Leadership Committee reserves the right to deny the participant eligibility for graduation for failure to attend scheduled sessions or non-payment of full tuition.

The mission of the Young Professionals of Florence group is to mobilize the young professionals of Florence to support and enhance leadership, civic responsibility and business growth.

Simply put, we’re here for you. We hope that as this organization continues to grow, that it will be able to provide an increasing array of business and social services to all area young professionals looking for a network to help them reach out to the community.

The Greater Florence Chamber will again host its’ popular Administrative Professionals Day Luncheon on Wednesday, April 27^that the Florence Center. The festivities will begin at 11:00 am with many fun vendor exhibits sharing small gifts. The lunch will be served starting at 12:00 noon. The event is full of great door prizes and giveaways. Businesses can reward staff with a great lunch, while they hear an amusing message from this year's speaker, Ron Glancy. His topic will be, Funny Things That Came My Way.

The Administrative Day Luncheon has been a favorite with area businesses and office managers to honor administrative professionals by treating them to a fun extended lunch event and an entertaining program in recognition of their contributions throughout the year. There are more than 4.1 million administrative assistants in the United States making it one of the largest workplace observances outside of employee birthdays and major holidays.

Michael Miller, Florence Chamber President, says, “this is a great opportunity for those that really keep the businesses going, to hear a fun speaker, enjoy a lunch together and win great gifts. Who doesn’t want to do that”?
