2021 - 2022 Leadership Florence 8/1/2021 - 5/31/2022

Leadership Florence is a comprehensive nine-month program designed to identify, cultivate and motivate new leadership for the Greater Florence Area. Participants will increase their knowledge of the Greater Florence area, and enhance their involvement in community activities while further developing their leadership skills.

ATTENDANCE
The program begins with a Meet & Greet in August and ends with graduation in June 2022. Sessions are one full day per month.

You are also required to attend the half day Building Bridges Diversity Session, at least two law enforcement ride-alongs and one City/County Council Meeting. The Leadership Class will complete a class project during the program, in which the proceeds will be donated to chosen charities. Recent projects are Downtown Gala, Find Me Downtown , BBQ for a Cause & Disco Ball.

Participants may not miss more than two days of class to graduate. Attendance at all sessions is expected. The Opening Retreat, Team Building Exercise and State Government are mandatory sessions.

TUITION
$1295 for members and $1695 for non-members. A $325 deposit must accompany this completed application. The tuition balance is due before Friday, August 14, 2021. The Leadership Committee reserves the right to deny the participant eligibility for graduation for failure to attend scheduled sessions or non-payment of full tuition.

The mission of the Young Professionals of Florence group is to mobilize the young professionals of Florence to support and enhance leadership, civic responsibility and business growth.

Simply put, we’re here for you. We hope that as this organization continues to grow, that it will be able to provide an increasing array of business and social services to all area young professionals looking for a network to help them reach out to the community.

Join us for a day of golf at the Florence Chamber of Commerce's Spring Golf Classic on Thursday, May 5^th at the Traces Golf Club.

Lunch will be catered by Pee Dee Catering and begins at 11:00 a.m.; tee off at 12:00 p.m.

All participating golfers will be registered to take part in a $25,000 cash shootout. 4 lucky players will be randomly chosen prior to tee off!

Kickball for a Cause is the Leadership Florence class project that will benefit six local nonprofit organizations, Harvest Hope, House of Hope, Lydia's Nest, NCNW, Pee Dee Coalition, and United Way. This philanthropic event is not only a chance for our community to participate in a healthy, fun activity, but it will also have broad-reaching benefits for these worthy nonprofit organizations. You will find more information regarding these organizations attached. Kickball for a Cause will be held on Dailey Field at Florence Darlington Technical College on Saturday, May 21, 2022, and we hope that you will consider showing your or your company's support for such a deserving cause. To this end, we welcome contributions in the form of event sponsorships or donations.
