The mission of the Young Professionals of Florence group is to mobilize the young professionals of Florence to support and enhance leadership, civic responsibility and business growth.

Simply put, we’re here for you. We hope that as this organization continues to grow, that it will be able to provide an increasing array of business and social services to all area young professionals looking for a network to help them reach out to the community.

Membership Fee: $40 per year - Membership Runs January - December 2023

2023 - 2024 Leadership Florence 8/1/2023 - 5/30/2024

Leadership Florence is a comprehensive nine-month program designed to identify, cultivate and motivate new leadership for the Greater Florence Area. Participants will increase their knowledge of the Greater Florence area, and enhance their involvement in community activities while further developing their leadership skills.

ATTENDANCE
The program begins with a Meet & Greet in August and ends with graduation in June 2024. Sessions are one full day per month.

You are also required to attend the half day Building Bridges Diversity Session and one City/County Council Meeting. The Leadership Class will complete a class project during the program, in which the proceeds will be donated to chosen charities. Recent projects are Downtown Gala, Find Me Downtown , Disco Ball and Kickball for a Cause.

Participants may not miss more than two days of class to graduate. Attendance at all sessions is expected. The Opening Retreat, Team Building Exercise and State Government are mandatory sessions.

TUITION
$1395 for members and $1795 for non-members. A $325 deposit must accompany this completed application. The tuition balance is due before Tueday, September 7, 2023. The Leadership Committee reserves the right to deny the participant eligibility for graduation for failure to attend scheduled sessions or non-payment of full tuition.

Due to Hurricane Idalia making landfall as a category 4 storm in Florida and the impact that this storm may now have on school and businesses openings, the Chamber finds it prudent to reschedule the Women in Commerce Luncheon that was scheduled for tomorrow, August 31, 2023, at Florence Center.

The good news is that we have been able to reschedule the event quickly for Wednesday, September 6th. The WIC Luncheon will still be held at Florence Center beginning at 11:30 am with a mingle and mocktails. The lunch and program will be starting at noon.

We realize that during a holiday week you may have conflicts that would affect your attendance. If you find that you cannot attend or share your reservation, please give us a call at the Chamber at (843) 665-0515.

2023 Annual Membership Luncheon 9/20/2023 12:00 Noon - 9/20/2023 1:00 PM

The Chamber Membership Luncheon is open to Chamber members and all community leaders. It will be held at the Florence Center with doors opening at 11:30 am and the program will begin at 12:00 noon. The guest speaker will be Jeff Deaton, Managing Director at AESC US. Mr. Deaton is responsible for US business operations in Florence, SC, Bowling Green KY, and Smyrna, TN.

The Business Person of the Year will be announced at the closing of program.

Reserved tables of 8 are $475 and individual Chamber member tickets are $40 and $50 non-members.
