2023 - 2024 Leadership Florence 8/1/2023 - 5/30/2024

Leadership Florence is a comprehensive nine-month program designed to identify, cultivate and motivate new leadership for the Greater Florence Area. Participants will increase their knowledge of the Greater Florence area, and enhance their involvement in community activities while further developing their leadership skills.

ATTENDANCE
The program begins with a Meet & Greet in August and ends with graduation in June 2024. Sessions are one full day per month.

You are also required to attend the half day Building Bridges Diversity Session and one City/County Council Meeting. The Leadership Class will complete a class project during the program, in which the proceeds will be donated to chosen charities. Recent projects are Downtown Gala, Find Me Downtown , Disco Ball and Kickball for a Cause.

Participants may not miss more than two days of class to graduate. Attendance at all sessions is expected. The Opening Retreat, Team Building Exercise and State Government are mandatory sessions.

TUITION
$1395 for members and $1795 for non-members. A $325 deposit must accompany this completed application. The tuition balance is due before Tueday, September 7, 2023. The Leadership Committee reserves the right to deny the participant eligibility for graduation for failure to attend scheduled sessions or non-payment of full tuition.

The mission of the Young Professionals of Florence group is to mobilize the young professionals of Florence to support and enhance leadership, civic responsibility and business growth.

Simply put, we’re here for you. We hope that as this organization continues to grow, that it will be able to provide an increasing array of business and social services to all area young professionals looking for a network to help them reach out to the community.

Membership Fee: $40 per year - Membership Runs January - December 2024

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED - The 2024 Building Bridges Leadership and Diversity Summit is set for Monday, April 22 from 9:00 am-3:00 pm. The event will be held at the Florence Center and will feature multiple breakout sessions. Lunch will be served during the program schedule.

The Building Bridges is a program offering comprehensive group experience in cultural diversity, inclusion and competence. This summit has been designed to help local business professionals appreciate and respect the uniqueness of their employees and peers.

Dr. Roslyn Clark Artis, President of Benedict College in Columbia, SC, will be the opening keynote speaker for the Building Bridges program. A prolific speaker and fierce advocate for educational access, Dr. Artis is frequently engaged as a mentor, lecturer, and catalyst for strategic transformation. Dr. Artis was unanimously appointed by the Board of Trustees as the 14th and first woman President of Benedict College on June 30, 2017.

The full day cost of the program is $30 and includes lunch.
