The mission of the Young Professionals of Florence group is to mobilize the young professionals of Florence to support and enhance leadership, civic responsibility and business growth.

Simply put, we’re here for you. We hope that as this organization continues to grow, that it will be able to provide an increasing array of business and social services to all area young professionals looking for a network to help them reach out to the community.

The Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting applications from area companies and business individuals for the 2025-2026 Leadership Florence Class.

Leadership Florence is the area’s most popular and comprehensive business leadership program in the region. The once-a-month sessions are designed to identify, cultivate and motivate leadership in our businesses and to familiarize participants about our community and enhance their involvement in business, civic and government activities while developing future leadership skills and business relationships.

The program begins with orientation in August and ends with graduation in May 2026. Come and be a part of the 35 years of Leadership Florence experience.

ATTENDANCE
The program begins with a Meet & Greet in August and ends with graduation in May 2026. Sessions are one full day per month.

You are also required to attend the half day Building Bridges Diversity Session and one City/County Council Meeting. The Leadership Class will complete a class project during the program, in which the proceeds will be donated to chosen charities. Recent projects are Downtown Gala, Find Me Downtown, Disco Ball and Kickball for a Cause.

Participants may not miss more than two days of class to graduate. Attendance at all sessions is expected. The Opening Retreat, Team Building Exercise and State Government are mandatory sessions.

TUITION
$1395 for members and $1795 for non-members. A $325 deposit must accompany this completed application. The tuition balance is due before Friday, September 5, 2025. The Leadership Committee reserves the right to deny the participant eligibility for graduation for failure to attend scheduled sessions or non-payment of full tuition.

The Chamber will be holding its’ Annual Fall Golf Classic, on Thursday, October 2nd at Traces Golf Club. We expect to have a sellout field of local business & community golfers back on the course for some great golf, food, beverages, and fun. A great lunch is provided to start the day at 11:00 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at noon. Come experience great food and prizes throughout the course with 12+ food and prize hospitality holes. Each registered golfer will be entered into a drawing to participate in a $25,000 cash shoot out!

Join us for our annual Kickin’ Chicken Wing & Chili Cook-Off. The festival will take place in the 100 block of Dargan St in Downtown Florence on Friday, October 17th. This year’s event includes great food from our wing and chili competitors as well as live music, craft beer, and other food vendors.
