2024 - 2025 Leadership Florence 8/1/2024 - 5/31/2025

Leadership Florence is a comprehensive nine-month program designed to identify, cultivate and motivate new leadership for the Greater Florence Area. Participants will increase their knowledge of the Greater Florence area, and enhance their involvement in community activities while further developing their leadership skills.

ATTENDANCE
The program begins with a Meet & Greet in August and ends with graduation in May 2025. Sessions are one full day per month.

You are also required to attend the half day Building Bridges Diversity Session and one City/County Council Meeting. The Leadership Class will complete a class project during the program, in which the proceeds will be donated to chosen charities. Recent projects are Downtown Gala, Find Me Downtown , Disco Ball and Kickball for a Cause.

Participants may not miss more than two days of class to graduate. Attendance at all sessions is expected. The Opening Retreat, Team Building Exercise and State Government are mandatory sessions.

TUITION
$1395 for members and $1795 for non-members. A $325 deposit must accompany this completed application. The tuition balance is due before Friday, September 6, 2024. The Leadership Committee reserves the right to deny the participant eligibility for graduation for failure to attend scheduled sessions or non-payment of full tuition.

The mission of the Young Professionals of Florence group is to mobilize the young professionals of Florence to support and enhance leadership, civic responsibility and business growth.

Simply put, we’re here for you. We hope that as this organization continues to grow, that it will be able to provide an increasing array of business and social services to all area young professionals looking for a network to help them reach out to the community.

SOLD OUT - The Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce's 2025 Winter Legislative and Community Breakfast will be city focused this year.

Florence City Mayor, Lethonia Barnes, will be the featured speaker at the Friday, February 28th Community Breakfast being held at the Florence Center.

This breakfast is an informational community gathering held twice each year. Topics range from state and local representatives providing legislative updates to local concerns centered on community safety, health care, and education.

At the 2025 February breakfast, Mayor Barnes will provide a Florence city update on what programs and improvement are happening now and what to expect in the near future as it affects life in Florence and surrounding neighborhoods.

The doors will open at 7:30 a.m. and the program begins at 7:50 a.m. Tickets are or $28 for individuals and $245 for a company reserved table of 8. There will be no tickets or registration available at the door. This event will sell out fast. This program is made possible by Palmetto Commercial Real Estate and Duke Energy.
